In his spare time, he enjoys hiking outdoors with his family and Australian Shepherd, Marcy, as well as skiing, snorkeling, and eating exotic food in exotic places.

  • He completed his Master of Science at University of Tennessee, Knoxville in the concentration of Family Nurse Practitioner in 1997, and was inducted into the national academic honor society for nursing, Sigma Theta Tau and was a National Health Service Core Fellow.
  • He has worked in the fields of pain management and psychiatry since his graduation from the University of Tennessee and is a member of the American Academy of Pain Management.
